Boarding Requirements Notice

DOG WASH will provide your dog(s) with professional and caring attention at all times during their stay at our facility. We will use the best of our abilities to ensure that your dog(s) have an enjoyable and safe experience in our care. We ask that you be as revealing as possible in the Pre-Registration form, so that we can be completely aware of your dog(s)’ individual needs. Please label all possessions brought with your dog.

Vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper, (DHLPP), and Bordatella, (Kennel Cough), must be presented for update for your dog(s) safety. You can either bring the updated forms before or at the time of drop off or have your veterinarian fax them to us. Bordatella, (an intra-nasal vaccine), can be provided at the DOG WASH for a fee. Please remember that these vaccines take a minimum of three days to take full effect.

Payment: Overnighters and Daycare: Payment in full is required up front for first timers or if you purchase a discount package of 10 days for the price of 9 in advance only. For your convenience, you may give us permission to automatically charge your credit card for renewal, if you enter your authorization on the Pre-Registration form. Please note: There is a $5 processing fee to charge a credit card that is not physically present to be magnetically swiped.

Veterinary Care: We will use our best efforts if your dog(s) becomes injured or ill. We will immediately attempt to contact you with the phone number provided. If it is not possible to reach you, we will use our professional discretion in seeking immediate medical attention for your dog(s) at your expense. DOG WASH cannot be held responsible for health complications due to pre-existing medical conditions. If your dog(s) should injure each other when you’ve instructed them to be boarded together, (with Vet. approval); you will be responsible for any Vet. bills.

Rejections: We reserve the right to refuse admittance to any dog that we feel is creating a disturbance to the environment. Unfortunately, not all dogs do well in this type of setting. All dogs over the age of six months must be spayed or neutered for Play Den day care. 

Meals: We will provide your dog(s) with a premium chicken and rice meal in accordance with your instructions at no charge. If your dog(s) require special food, or medication, please provide it with clear instructions as to its administration.

Parasite Protection: From March to November, all dogs are required to have flea/tick protection. We recommend topical liquids such as “Spot-On”, “Advantage”, etc. Flea/tick collars are acceptable, but not advised. All dogs will be inspected for fleas/ticks upon entrance, and if found; your dog(s) will be washed & dipped at your expense to ensure the safety of the other dogs.

Leashes and Collars: All dogs must have adequate leashes and collars with them. If we deem the leash or collar to be unsafe, we reserve the right to use one of ours to walk them. All dogs MUST be leashed, and attached to their owners AT ALL TIMES in the DOG WASH, unless they are in the Play Den.

Biting: You will be notified, and it will be recorded if your dog(s) bite(s). You will assume all legal liabilities for your dog(s)’ behavior in this occurrence.

Pick Up Time: All dogs must be picked up BEFORE closing time. (Monday through Friday: 8pm, Saturday and Sunday 7 pm). If your dog(s) are not picked up by closing time, we will board them overnight. If you do not pick up your dog ON or BEFORE the agreed pick up date; boarding rates are doubled for each additional day.

Abandonment: Should the circumstance arise that your dog(s) remain unclaimed for five days beyond the agreed pick up date, and we have had no contact with you regarding extending their boarding agreement; the dog(s) will be considered abandoned and Dog Wash will commence adoption procedures. Such action will not relieve you from paying all costs associated with the boarding and adoption.
